Middle East investors looking for agri investments Black Sea region
30 January 2019 • InvestmentsOur company has been approached by 2 Middle Eastern investment groups interested to acquire/participate in agricultural business in the Black Sea region.
The investors are represented by a renowned law firm from Bucharest. We are looking forward receiving any investment opportunities in accordance to below brief. In case of interest a meeting with the law firm will take place to discuss the modus operandi with the investment groups. We understand that in certain cases we will need to sign a NDA.
Their initial brief is as follows:
Investor 1
Middle East investor. Black Sea region & central Europe. Items of interest:
- Primary Agricultural production
- Input Supply: “Inputs” used for farming. These include feed, fertilizers and permitted plant protection products as well as cleaning agents and additives used in food production.
- Added value business such as oil seed crushing
- Infrastructure businesses for regional storage, internal transport, port facilities and shipping
They will take 100%, majority or minority interests. Minimum investment value 10 million euros
Investor 2
Saudi company interested in Agricultural acquisitions.
- Total investment above 100 Million USD in Agro/Food/Crops/Land in Eastern Europe.
- Looking to acquire minority shares up to 49%, with a ticket entrance as from 50 million USD up
- Products:
- Wheat: Canada, Australia, France, the Black Sea region and the Balkans
- Barley: Canada, Australia, France, the Black Sea Region and the Balkans
- Corn: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, Romania
- Soybean: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, the United States, Romania
- Rice: India, Pakistan, Australia
- Sugar: Brazil, Thailand
- Vegetable Oil: Canada, the United States, Thailand and Ukraine
- Green fodder: Australia, Romania and Ukraine
- Red meat Australia, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand, Uruguay, Kazakhstan, Romania, India and Pakistan
